Finally the day that FUCC has been waiting for more than an year arrived. A home game to kick off the T35 season. FUCC had to miss 2 experienced players Rahul and Navanith hours before the match. Thanks to Teji and Kishan we were able to have a 11. On cloudy morning, captain Raj won the toss and elected to bat without any hesitation.

Raj and Amit opened the batting. It started drizzling during the 1st over and Raj started off cautiously and took his time to settle. Amit on the other hand did not waste any time and took the attack back to the CCCC bowlers. Anything that was on his slot was dispatched to the boundary with ease. After a short delay due to the ball being lost, Amit was trapped by Wasim for 26 in the 6th over with FUCC on 34. Kishan joined Raj. Due to the drizzle the new ball became heavy and the bowlers did not have any movement. Kishan was off the mark with his trademark cover drive for a boundary. At the end of the power play FUCC were 59/1. With field spread out, the batsmen were able to rotate the strike with ease without taking any risk. The ball was changed in the 12th over. With the ball being hard and good to bat, both of them made use of this opportunity and scored a boundary each over. Runs kept coming with ease and FUCC reached 100 by drinks. The session after drinks was s crucial one as FUCC have lost a wicket or 2 most of time during 2015 immediately after the break. Both batsmen reached 50 after the break and runs kept flowing in all directions and FUCC reached 150 in the 23rd over. The next 5 overs were really slow for FUCC and CCCC looked to pull back things. Kishan started off the next over with a huge 6 over long on followed by 2 boundaries and raj finished off the over with another 6 and FUCC reached 200 in the 29th over. The partnership also crossed 150. Vikas pulled back things for CCCC by dismissing Kishan and Raj in the next over. They added 167 runs in 24 overs and set tone for a strong finish. It was treat to watch both of them build the innings. Sunil was dismissed in Vikas's next over. Gaurav's cameo towards the end helped FUCC post 248/4 in 35 overs.

Sukesh started the proceedings as usual with the ball and striked in the 1st over by knocking off CCCC captain Gautham. Raj shared the new ball and cleaned up Karthik with a beautiful outswinger. The batsmen had no clue and cccc were reduced to 3/2. Vikas and Steven steadied the innings for CCCC. Due to the wet outfield the ball lost shine and  batsmen were able to score freely. Vikas had 3 chances in 2 overs and FUCC paid the price for the missed chances.  At the end of power play CCCC were 72/2. They scored 50 runs from overs 6-10. Spin and slow bowlers were introduced immediately to restrict the run flow. Steven reached his 50 and was taking control of the chase. The man with Golden Arm Sunny dismissed Steven in his 1st over thanks to brilliant catch by Harsha at deep extra cover and provided the needed break through right before drinks. With some tight bowling by Sunny, Bide and Harissh, FUCC pulled things back and restricted CCCC to 103/3. After drinks the slow bowlers continued to pull things further and the required rate kept rising. Sujay and Vikas kept the scoreboard ticking by taking singles and two's as boundaries were hard to come by. Against the run of play Sujay missed the slower one from Bide and was trapped in front of the wicket. Nitesh joined Vikas and started attacking immediately. The ball was changed again and batsmen found it easy to score boundaries. Amit's brilliance in the deep got rid Nitesh in sunny's next over. CCCC needed 90 of the last 10 overs. Vikas was the key and added 37 runs in the next 3 overs along with Varun. Sunny came back strong after being hit for huge 6 and dismissed Vikas the very next ball. Dennis striked in the next over and Varun was caught by Harsha. Once again a very good running catch under pressure. Bide's athletic piece of fielding off his bowling ran out Prejeeth in the next over. Dennis cleaned up Wasim and the last man was run out by Sunil. CCCC were bowled out for 236.
