Hello FUCCers,

We will be playing our last league game against KECC this Sunday. So far we have had a good run this season. Let's continue to follow what we have been doing and give our best again.

The game against WGCC, even though we lost the toss we ended up batting first which we wanted do. We had a new opening pair and the batsmen ensured we got a good start. Navanith and Raj made use of sloppy fielding and rotated the strike there by making it difficult for the bowlers. Due to some poor umpiring decisions we lost our openers in quick succession. Rahul and sunny k built on the start and set the platform for our lower middle order. Teji and sunny e provided good support to sunny k and helped us post a defendable total.

Sukesh and Navanith shared the new ball and did not give any easy runs to WGCC openers. Sunnye's brilliant piece of fielding dismissed Mayur in the first over. The ground fielding was excellent and WGCC were hardly able to rotate strike. Vinod, suresh and Sitta did not allow the batsmen to go for big shots. Once Rahul was introduced WGCC tried to accelerate but ended losing wickets in quick succession and Sukesh's great catches helped Rahul to achieve his career best of 6/23. The last 8 wickets fell for 21 runs. Our aim was to just win the match but we ended up defeating WGCC by a huge margin.

Overall we excelled in all departments and I liked the energy shown by each player.

Coming to this week's match against KECC. We will remain in top 2 if PACC or HPCC lose a game next week which is highly unlikely. Irrespective of other results this weekend if we win the match we will still qualify to the playoffs as a wildcard. So lets play the same way we played last week.
